Set up your institution

Once we provision your tenant, you receive an administrator account and a link to your institution’s sign-in page. From there you configure the tenant to match your school before inviting members.

Configure your tenant

  1. Sign in with your administrator account.
  2. Open the Admin area from the main menu.
  3. Under Institution, set your display name, upload your logo, and choose your accent color. These appear throughout your members’ experience.
  4. Save your changes. Branding applies immediately for everyone in the tenant.

Import your roster

You can add members individually or import them in bulk.

  1. In the Admin area, choose Members, then Import roster.
  2. Upload a CSV with each person’s email, name, and role.
  3. Review the preview. Ember flags duplicates and invalid rows before anything is created.
  4. Confirm the import. Ember sends each person an invitation to your tenant.

Assign roles and permissions

Each member holds a role, and each role grants a specific set of permissions. To adjust what a group can do, edit the role rather than the individual. For example, you might grant a lead teacher permission to manage the roster while limiting other teachers to assigning practice. See sign-in options for how members authenticate.

Retention and privacy

Conservatory tenants include configurable data retention to support FERPA compliance. Set your retention window in the Admin area under Privacy. When a member leaves, their tenant data is handled according to that policy.
